Day 2: 74km / current location: LINK
Woke up to another beautiful day in Holland again, and with me with a sore throat and snuffy nose. Linda did comment that there were a lot of coughing folks on the plane over to Amsterdam, so there probably is a connection. I am just hoping that this one works through my system quickly. Linda usually doesn't get colds so we are keeping our fingers crossed... The weather is forecasted to become more rainy and colder after today which doesn't help matters. We'll make the best of it regardless.
Had a nice traditional Dutch breakfast at the Mary K hotel before heading out on the road. One of the managers did inform us that Utrecht has a very large University (40,000 students) in town which explained the large number of young folks we saw the night before. We really loved the whole environment in Utrecht. Also, we give the hotel 5 stars should you ever travel in that area..
The route today was more rural than yesterday going through farm lands and crossing many rivers and canals by ferry. No DIY kind ferries today.... I realized while doing this blog post that I didn't take as many pictures today as usual. It wasn't because there were not enough interesting things to see. Maybe it was my head cold... Anyway, I will make amends starting tomorrow.
We decided to call it a day after reaching s'-Hertogenbosch around 5 pm. We both were tired and ready to grab a nice dinner and early night. More tomorrow....
